How do you photograph a model wearing sheer apparel?
I would like to photograph some models wearing like see-through teddies and bodysuits and the like, such as the famous April,1980 centerfold shot of Playboy Playmate Liz Glazowski wearing a sheer bodysuit. somehow I keep getting it wrong, i\and it doesn't dome out in the print as see-through as it is in real life. What am I doing wrong? What are your suggestions with regard to getting it right?

- You need to use off camera flash or other lighting source. If you aim the flash directly at the subject from the camera, it reflects off the garment making it appear opaque. light at about a 45 degree angle for best results.
- Lighting from the side might help. Also, using soft light should help. Soft light is just light from a large source, like an umbrella or soft box. If you don't have either of these, you can bounce any light off a large white surface to create a soft light source. Another thing that can help is a polarizing filter. If the material itself is shiny, then the filter can reduce this. However, you will need to experiment with the angle of the light to get the effect you want.
