What kind of club is good to go clubbing?

I need to buy a club so I can go clubbing. Should I buy one that is wooden, leather, or one with chains on it? Also, what type of outfit goes good with a club? Should I dress like a barbarian, or just wear my normal purple mesh bodysuit? And, the third question; what is the likelyhood that I will get "hit on" when I go clubbing? I really don't want any new injuries. Should I also bring a shield so I don't get "hit on"?
